B i o g r a p h y
Julie Heck is a performing and recording artist, accompanist and music instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Business with a concentration in Marketing and Piano Performance, and graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She was the recipient of several scholarships, including the highest valued prestigious Jack Stephen Gramlich Scholarship, and she has performed and participated in several international music festivals. She is currently a member of MTNA, Missouri Teachers National Association and SLAMTA, St. Louis Area Music Teachers Association.
Julie has been performing and teaching for over 10 years, and has accompanied for countless organizations and music groups, including the St. Louis Children's Choir, St. Louis University, Webster University, Lindenwood University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the University of Kansas, and Technical Institute of Berlin, Germany.
In her spare time she volunteers for Missouri Botanical Garden, KDHX, St. Louis's only independent radio station, and for Pianos for People, a non-profit organization that connects people who need pianos with pianos who need people.
